Practicing for the Econs Ball

On Monday, 13th Oct, Zufar approached Me and Riz to play for the Econs ball that was to be held that following week on Friday. We thought it would be worth a shot and what the hell, opportunities like these don’t come very often. We started our practice the next day, and I honestly did not think that playing in a band required so much effort. We practiced for about 7 hours on a single song, trying to harmonize and synchronize our individual parts in the music. Our first song was to play an acoustic version of Maroon 5's, “Won’t go home without you”, a decently easy song to play. I played the rhythmic, and boy did my fingers hurt, it was pretty sore… I hadn’t touched a guitar in ages, yet alone played in a performance! My guitar skills are pretty much at noob level so to speak.. I’m not worthy!! : ( Riz played the Bass, and Zufar was on the lead. I was meant to play the drums, but the Econs Department didn’t have the budget to rent one just for a single band performance.

Zufar teaching me the chords

Riz, on the Bass (Poser sial)

Jon, being a professional.. ellehcheh hahaha

By the end of our jamming session, we were friggin exhausted,  disorientated, dazed, and all the other adjectives you can think of after 7 hours of instrumental power play! I was already lying on the floor drained, and thinking, shit, I have to study for my friggin quiz on Friday.. Im going to be so screwed, oh well.

Viva Vertical Pole Out Night

Last Friday, Viva Vertical held a Pole Out Night @ Mardi Gras for people to have fun and have free access to Pole Dance! Unfortunately, it was crowded and jam packed full of people (very unexpected.. but yeah, it was a Friday night), and I was pretty shy to pull out any moves : ( I got pulled out by Kyeth later and I whooped out a chopper! (No pun intended! olol) and ended like this..

Haha! Looks cool though.. surprisingly

And thats Trix on the Pole!

The girls were pretty much awesome too!

After a fair bit of dancing, we settled down to celebrate Kyeth's 20th Birthday.

That was pretty much everyone from.. Talent Hub.. and extra's who came down to party that night. Kyeth's in the middle posing a peace sign. : D Silly Kenny, the cake smudger (don't know where he went), and Yen, the person behind the picture aren't in the shot.. Overall, although the event wasn't as -exciting- as i had anticipated it to be, I still enjoyed the company and meeting up with friends, getting to know them more than the hi-byes, glances from afar, and help during pole access :P However, I had to leave early due to my curfew and bid goodbyes to everyone and left for home.. It was a fun night out, and I hope there will be more to come.. especially with moar drink!! RWAR!!

A game that everyone should be playing..

Although it is only officially out on the Nintendo DS only, it is a must play! This game is not for you serious storyline gamers, but its the game style and game play which keeps you entertained for hours! Especially job class pumping.. xD If you dont have a DS, download the .nds version and get a no$gba emulator to play :P Its worth it.

Pole Practise!

Today, I had my mid terms for PSY112.. which was horrendous! I wrote long sentences of nonsensical words for le subjective which was titled, Realistic Group Conflict Theory...wtf! D: And in Philosophy class, Ms. Yap talked about Art, how philosophers like Plato think of it as.. destructive, corruptive of the mind, twisted, degenerative of the brain and you get the picture. For as Plato says, reality is just as we perceive it to be, and Art, physical of its character is only an illusion, which fills the mind with distortion and defiles us as of how I have described above.. Interesting huh? Numbskulls.. Anyway, after classes I played basketball for about an hour and a half before I decided to stop by my dancing studio. A quick call, and it was only a walk down from the court. So I went in.. tired, but still had the energy to start cam-whoring.. Lol!

7th Oct

This is dated during the month of November 2007.  4days after prom, Black Tie & Diamonds
The stress from organizing the prom, and all its other subsequent stessors that were related to it.
It was a time of great release, specially from a certain, well, emotional moment in my life that year.
Im over it dont worry. Lol.
I was at Bangkung Park in Bangsar, where if you see my earlier posts, was sleeping in on New years day. Nothing feels better than having a swing at the park at night. Seriously. Especially when you're feeling down, walk to/ or drive to a park, a relatively safe one, and take a swing on the swings. (Not a swing of alcohol you nut -_-) And nothing is more satisfactory than climbing up the swings.

Yeah, that shadow you see there is me looking up into the night sky, and the view up there overlooking the park, its really beautiful. Haha, and guess what are those miscellaneous things under me. Its.. ALCOHOL HAHA. So it was a SWING OF ALCOHOL really, HAH gotca fooled! It was both, i just felt like drinking cuz of the after-party after prom. My friend managed to swipe a bottol of Black Label out from MardiGras which came into my ownership.. so i decided to finish it! Woohoo! Come and join me some day, and i guarantee no drinks.. -_-
